Snorkel

I feel like I almost need a snorkel today with rain deluging down on the Mornington Peninsula. Not that I’m complaining, mind you, after the dry time we’ve had, but it has come down hard in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, besides being a breathing apparatus, Snorkel is also a stylish looking online magazine, a simple uncluttered interface and some nice writing. Issue #6 is online now. It’s edited by Cath Vidler, Nick Riemer and Nick Smith. All credit to Nick Smith for the design of the site, including this gorgeous photo of Mt Wellington.

They say: Snorkel is an online literary magazine with a special interest in bringing together the creative writings of Australians and New Zealanders, while also welcoming submissions from the wider international community.

Snorkel is published twice yearly, with Snorkel #7 due for launch in April 2008.
