Writer in residence

It’s always interesting to see other writers at work. Recently, we had novelist Angela Savage as a ‘writer in residence’ working with students in our school and I was impressed with how quickly she was able to connect and engage the students and get them started on some interesting writing about place. It’s not something that all writers can do, and many writers recognise that and steer well clear of such placements.

Angela Savage has her own blog and reflected about the strangeness of working in a school here.
